Gyan Jyoti Educational Welfare Society.
Punjab Group of Colleges, Chunni Kalan, Punjab, is established and managed by the Gyan Jyoti Educational and Social Welfare Society, a not-for-profit charitable trust. Founded by like-minded philanthropists with a shared vision to provide quality education in rural and underserved communities, the Society was officially registered on 26 August 2003 in Mohali, Punjab.
The Society is led by Mr. Nirmal Singh (Chairman), Mr. Gurpreet Singh (President), and Mrs. Raminderjeet Kaur (Treasurer), along with a team of dedicated and experienced members. Together, they represent a collective of learned individuals committed to the noble mission of educational excellence and social development.
The Gyan Jyoti Educational and Social Welfare Society is actively engaged in a wide range of social initiatives, including education and literacy, children’s welfare, women’s empowerment, youth development, rural upliftment, and vocational training. In addition, the Society regularly organizes community-oriented programs such as free medical and blood donation camps, adult education and outreach centers, elderly care initiatives, and short-stay homes for destitute women. Through these efforts, the Society demonstrates a holistic and inclusive approach to social welfare and community development.
